Our company is not about making another pet food in the ever confusing world of pet nutrition, it is about making a better pet food because that is simply what our pets deserve. What is in a bag of Horizon Pet Food is a direct result of what is in our hearts at Horizon. We feel that because of who we are and how we feel, we can't help but make the best food possible - for our families and yours.
Horizon Pet Nutrition is a Canadian-owned developer and manufacturer of unique, progressive and healthy premium pet foods. We use only the best available local ingredients to produce the healthiest products available today in our own state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Rosthern, Saskatchewan. We own our own production which means we control the quality of our products and ingredients.
Horizon Pet Nutrition only produces premium products, including dry food, frozen raw food, health-enhancing supplements and treats for dogs and cats. Our goal is to produce Canada’s highest quality and most trusted dog and cat foods by focusing on wholesome ingredients. Consumers demand that for their best friends.
At Horizon, we understand the relationship you have with your pet. That is our guiding principle and the reason we created these products. What Makes Horizon Different?
Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located 30 minutes north of Saskatoon Saskatchewan, in the heart of agriculture country. We are a human grade food production facility, focused not only on the quality of our products, but also the quality of our production. At our facility and throughout our distribution chain, we have numerous safeguards and rigorous quality control systems in place to ensure both you and your pet are completely satisfied with our products. At Horizon Manufacturing we are also environmentally aware and every effort is made to ensure our production minimizes impact on the external environment.
We own our manufacturing facility, we source all of our own ingredients and put them under very rigorous testing before they are used within the food. Many pet food manufacturers do not own their own facility and are therefore bound by their co-pack contract. They also forego considerable freedom in what ingredients they can use as they must be available at the manufacturer's plant.
