• Horizon is located in the clean, northern province of Saskatchewan where the cold winter months, the shorter growing season and the clean environment contribute to producing the highest quality and most vigorous plants and botanicals in the world.  The cold winters are a benefit to ingredient quality as the cold breaks disease cycles and removes pathogens.
• By employing strict best manufacturing practices, Horizon is able to minimize any environmental impact in the area.
• Because Horizon sources its ingredients as close to home as possible, we minimize the embodied energy in our food products. This means that there has been less energy devoted to the procuring / processing / distribution of our foods, including energy required for transportation of the ingredients and final products.
